Poor neglected website... and Folk Fest!
Mood:  energetic
Whoops, I kind of have been neglecting my site for a little while. Shall need to update The Quest section megaly. Heh. Still says we're halfway through. Oops. Oh well. Movings over to sister's site are beginning! Soon. I promise. And when that happens, I will expand my section of pictures greatly because Shireen and I are camera happy.

Meaning we went to the Ottawa Folk Festival today. (look not at the time on this. It lies... fine, so yesterday. Whatever.)

I posted a massive thing about it in my lj, so I'll keep it short here, because no one really needs to hear me blabber for 3 hours. Though if you would like to, give me a call. It'll be fun. :P Haha, I jest.

Anyway, it was a massively fun day today as we dragged many of our Quest buddies to see the Worms for the first time. Shireen and Hailey were majorly hilarious cause at one point I spotted Trevor and pointed it out and they both started squealing and screaming his name. I laughed. It's like girls when they see boy bands. I'm surprised they didn't pull out "Marry me, Trevor" signs. Embarassing.

Though they got back at me when I noticed Chris later on and fell off my chair. That was great. Way to be calm, Row. Heh.

First workshop they did was cool. We were loud and obnoxious near the front, of course. Though the Festival people were being tres confusing as we were in the "standing" section, and eventually were told to sit. Ummm, ok. And apparently we were too loud then. Heh, oh well.

Then we raced to the next stage and saw another really fun workshop. We had a short convo with Chris which ended with Kalan Porter talk.

To be blunt, we did not go to see Kalan Porter. We do not like Kalan Porter. We like Worms. Kalan Porter is not in our good books. No Kalan Porter.

ANYWAY, that aside, that workshop was a lot of fun too. Shireen and I had a blast heckling the host, bringing up some pretty crazy things. We are heckling fools. Yay.

And the DVD hast been delivered. Horrified or impressed, the Worms will see our movie. And hopefully it'll be the impressed one. Because we don't intend to horrify, it just might happen.

Random pics taken, which will be included in new pics when I get to it. There's a lot though. Seriously.

Main stage set that night was awesome as well. Though that's when the standing section became the standing section, so it became harder to see. Blast. Oh well. It's safe to say we were probably the loudest ones there. I have almost no voice now from screaming various things. Heh. Loudness is fun... until the aftermath that involves pain. :(

Anyway, it was a hella good time. And it sucks we won't be seeing them again til April. But hey, it's 4 days after my birthday (April 15th being the day they come, thus April 11th being my birthday. Keep that in mind! :D) so how can it go wrong? What more could y'want when you turn 18?

Premiere
Mood:  spacey
We had a mini premiere of our movie last night. It was well set up by my lovely and wonderful friends Emma and Hailey. It was our direct cast and 3 other people who helped us out hella (1 was our camera"man" who made cameos, 1 was m'buddy Eve, who did a little bit of cameras and who had to deal with me on script-writing days and Adam, who is Hailey's boyfriend, and was with us one filming day and had a whole bunch of things thrust at him to carry.. haha).

They made it quite a large thing, as I thought it was just gonna be a small thing where we ate popcorn and laughed at ourselves. Nope.

We go downstairs to where we were viewing the movie to find all things blue, red and green. Lots of streamers. Worm balloons. Even a string of fake movie lights. So cool.

And then I was presented with Cardboard Chris who "likes the colour Row". Awwww. Cute.

There was a cake with the 3 Worms on it lit with sparklers at one point and cupcakes with all our names and the Worms names. Plus gummy worms to eat. It was absolutely Wormellent.

I got to make a little speech at the beginning, wasn't rehearsed or anything so it wasn't that exciting. And then I got handed a little clapboard that said "The Quest for Worms" on it, clapped it and viewing commenced.

T'was liked on all accounts, possibly because we all knew how stupid we are.

It was a blast.

Now, how bout a sequel? ;)

P.S. 6 days til Folkfest! You can feel the excitement!

Le fin... finally.
Mood:  celebratory
Now Playing: We Are The Beaver!
After many days of being up until 5 in the morning, The Quest for Worms is complete.

And now I have decided what a pointless movie it is. Heh. Oh well. It was fun to make, even if it is terrible. Whatcha gonna do?

My eyes are basically destroyed from all the hours staring at my computer screen though, so don't expect any updates in the next few days.

The Sweet Finale
Mood:  celebratory
WE'RE DONE FILMING!!!!!! :D *pops a bottle of champagne* (Or if I were Alex Trebek, a chardonnay)

And that means I get to be a hermit for the next week probably just to finish editing and all that jazz.

It's gonna be quite the week. But man am I excited.

I'm also exhausted, sunburnt and my hair is filled with random hair products for an attempt at Celining. But I think I'm gonna go start on my huge pile of work.

But you know what that means! No updates this week unless I'm going completely insane when working.

We could only be so lucky...

Inevitable Blither
Mood:  cool
Sadly I don't have anything huge once again.

The only update I've actually done is the addition of a new icon. T'is very Keanu Reeves. I got the quote by watching SNL Celebrity Jeopardy (hence why I'm considering making another frame to it with Will Farrell as Alex Trebek :P), but apparently Keanu says it in The Matrix. Who knew? I know I didn't.

I'm gonna attempt to do some more icons in the very near future. I meant to do more yesterday, and ended up staying up until 7:30 a.m. due to insomnia, but really didn't have all that much of a creative mind, save coming up with a plan with Shireen relating to a corset and knee-high boots. But that really isn't important.

I'll attempt to get something else major in the next week, though I start being busy Quest-wise again on Saturday up til whenever I finish editing it and burning the DVD and all.

Adieu,

Comics!
Mood:  lazy
Finally a site update worth blabbering about!

The new section, entitled "Comics" is now up. It currently only contains 3 things, but I'm working on more. Yay.

That will be the harbour of our artwork. Well, Hailey's artwork and my attempts at artwork. It's all good.

I also played with my About Me page, making a scrollable list of interests rathers than the huge list that was difficult to read.

I'm almost out of space on here though! So the time to say goodbye to Tripod is looming ever closer as I'll now need to start my move over to my sister's domain. Hopefully it won't be too much work.

Quest is still on hiatus, hence why I have not been blabbering about it. Oh well. To stay in true Quest spirit...

May the Worms be with you!

Wolfe Island/Brew Pub
Mood:  energetic
Advice: If you own the DVD, try watching it in fast forward, assuming you can hear the soung whilst it's playing. It's so entertaining, you'll be splitting your sides. My favourite happens to be Log In To You.

I'll have some random pics Hailey drew posted at some point in the near future. As well as instructions to the Wormellent Song Lyric n' Drink'n Game. It's a crossover between the Wormellent Drink'n Game and the Song Lyric game. Cool, eh? I also got my hair to "Celine" very well last night. So we took a lot of pictures. I'll post a few of em some point soon as well.

Today was a hugely exciting day as we got up at around 9:00 (after Hailey and I had stayed up til like... 3:30 coming up with the concept that people's body parts should start with their first initial. The funniest of these was Chripples and Ragina... there was some other good stuff, but I'll leave it at that!) It was the first time I'd gotten up before 10 all summer. Quite the event for me. I never wake up early. There's a reason for that too... I always get sick in the morning. Today was no exception. Oh well. It got better when we hopped in the car and started to drive to *drum roll* Wolfe Island!

The entire time we had Worms music playing... and it's like... a 2 hour drive from Ottawa to Kingston. That's a lot of Worms. Singing along was good fun. The car ride was extremely entertaining. Even better was when we actually got into Kingston since I actually had interesting things to film rather than just me looking out the window whilst talking about rocks and trees. Yes, I am lame.

The Wolfe Island Ferry definitely is a very nice ferry. I scared some people on it though whilst filming a shot for the movie. So I did it on the way back as well. :P

We ate lunch at the General Wolfe. That was a good time. Really yummy food. And the staff people were tres nice as well. And then we played pool. Emma and I beat her bro (I sunk the black ball! w00t!) and then I beat Hailey. Clearly I take the cake as best pool player. Sweet.

And then we kind of explored Wolfe Island a bit. It's a really big island. They have a phesantry. I wanted to see it. No one else really cared. I only cared because phesantry is a funny word. We didn't get to see it though. Instead, we went back on the ferry. And sung an extremely exciting rendition of Big Fat Road Manager followed by a high speed Log In To You. People gave looks. I thought it was funny. So we sung louder. :P

Anyway, then we attempted to find the Brew Pub, as mentioned in an Arrogant Worms post. It took awhile, but we did. And somehow there was a parking space right in front of it. Crazy. Then we wandered for awhile until it was raining. That was fun because I still had random hair product in my hair from Celining. I'm not even getting into that.

Then we actually went back to the Brew Pub to eat. It was funny since we all went in completely soaked. Hehe, I love the rain. It was really cool since they sell Worm merchandise there and had an ale called "Arrogant Ale". We, of course, tried the wings. C'est bien. Weren't sorry, either.

And then of course was the long drive back, which included a Tim's stop (of course! cuz you can't go anywhere without stopping at Tim's!)

And now I am home. With a pile full of random footage that I probably won't use for anything but my own amusement. Oh well.

Site updates'll come later. No, really. They will.

A very nice <3 - Row

Wolfe Island and Hiatus!
Mood:  down
Now Playing: David Bowie - Underground
Once again a very film-related entry.

Yesterday was fun. I left for 1 night and came home to like... a billion pieces of information. The most important being:

a) Riley cannot film this week. Hailey cannot film next week. Thus, we cannot film for 2 weeks. Yay, hiatus!

b) Shireen was gonna try to move filming anyway to see her boyfriend. *scoff*

and c) I'm going to Wolfe Island on Tuesday.

The last these 3 is the only comforting one. Now we can see the ferry. The Wolfe Island Ferry. Will it be a very nice ferry? It's the Wolfe Island Ferry.

So that should be good. And hopefully consoling to the fact that I'll have to cram-edit. Like, I'll still have 2 weeks before Folk-fest, but the others wanted to see it before then. And there's still filming to do starting in that 2 weeks! Gah! So that technically means I have one week. What a stresser.

The good news with the hiatus is that I may end up doing something for the site. And that would be very cool.

Anyway, until we meet again...

Today's topic: Filming! Yay, I bet that was seen coming... oh well! I'm gonna do it anyway! As predictable as it is! And nuts to anyone who argues! Bwahahahaha!

Ok, now with a less insane tone: filming. Monday went flawlessly. Besides extreme heat... but that's not that bad when after all filming was done there was a pool to jump into. New scenes went over well. C'est bien.

Yesterday's, on the other hand, was much more flawed. I forgot half the stuff I needed because I'm a genius but that didn't end up mattering. First a storm blew in (big surprise) and while I was still ready to film away (through sun, through sleet, through rain, I will finish my movie!), Riley called with the word that she was sick and couldn't make it.

No biggie. Just meant we could film very very little. Emma then ended up having to leave, so we could film even less. Meh. Hailey, Shireen and I got quite a bit done in the end. Not toward the actual movie, of course. When do we ever work on the actual movie? Nope, extras all the way!

So we're behind the schedule set earlier this week, but that's ok, because that was an extremely early-finishing one anyway. Looks like we film again Monday. Hopefully that one can be not horrid and we can get most of the stuff finished.

I'm stuck at home later this week for multiple days, so I may actually post some things on the site. Wouldn't that be a change?

I think I'll post up the 2 games we've invented tonight, though. They're really fun.

Oh, and when dancing to Worm music, make sure you don't over-do it. I have the uberly sore neck to prove that dancing can be hazardous. That's ok. I'll be dancing again by Monday! And in the hospital by Tuesday!

Adieu!

Filming (as always)
Mood:  rushed
Now Playing: Queen - Love of my Life
This week is considered our "huge week of filming" cuz we're planning to film on more than one day. Isn't that awesome?

One of those days is today. I have to leave in 2 hours and just woke up. I also can't get through to Hailey. The problem with that is that Hailey doesn't know we're filming today. Curse? Or bad communication skills?

Anyway, I decided what we had was too short so I wrote in a new bit of stuff. I'm pretty happy with it. It took a lot of thought to come up with it all though. I started it the day before yesterday and didn't finish it until 3 or 4 a.m. today because I couldn't think of what to write. Writer's block is horrid.

Well, it's done now and parts of that may get filmed today. We'll see, I guess. Depending on if I ever talk to Hailey.

I'm using this as kind of a rant thing Quest-wise now, as I never seem to talk about updates to the site anymore. So I should mention something site-wise... hrmm..

Oh yes, I'll eventually be moving my site onto my sister's domain so that I can have more space. This requires me having to get better at HTML so it could be awhile. That move should happen before summer is done, but don't expect it any time soon.

Happy trails!
<3 Row

P.S. Why is it that not all places have busy signals? The one ring followed by answering machine is pretty much just as annoying.
